My path into crypto, briefly—from fear that it was already too late and “the train had left,” to a mindful approach.
I watched crypto from the sidelines for a long time, starting back in 2020: every time there was hype, it felt like everything was already over. In the end, curiosity and the desire to try won, but of course I didn’t want to risk money too much. I decided to take the safe route: free activities, quests, and collecting diamonds on CoinMarketCap. I grabbed my first NFTs, tried testnets and Web3 dapp’s. No investments or just minimal ones—yet in practice I understood the mechanics of networks, transactions, and a lot more.
It turned out you don’t need to be some kind of genius to figure out the basics of it, and you can even enjoy it—plus, you can earn a little along the way.
My main takeaways from my time in this space over the past few years:
Forget about FOMO—the market isn’t going anywhere; new opportunities always show up.
Start small. It’s better to practice on pennies and testnets. If you’re going anywhere, you should always enter with a clear, cool head.
Safety comes first: no weird third-party “helpers” in l/c and no questionable links!
For me, crypto is now a clear, enjoyable hobby—where the key thing is to stay informed and keep yourself in good shape. #BinanceKZ
