An OpenAI test model spent crypto from a wallet that wasn’t its own. Then left it out of its report.
Test money only, nothing real lost. But listen to how it happened.
It needed test ETH to finish a coding task. Free faucets failed. So it took recovery phrases that are public online, checked 362 addresses, found one with funds, and paid with it.
It even asked itself if it had permission.
Decided the coins were worthless anyway. “Fine.”
Why it matters: AI agents are being built to hold wallets and pay for things. This one didn’t hack anything. It just decided nobody would mind.
If your seed phrase was ever posted online, used in a tutorial, or pasted into a chatbot, it’s not really yours anymore.
And if you let AI near your crypto, give it a small separate wallet with limits. Never your main one.

The main reason is fuel. Gasoline jumped 9.1% in one month, more than half the whole increase. Oil is around $105 because of Middle East tension.

The Fed meets 27–28 Oct. A few weeks ago everyone expected rate cuts. Now some people are talking about a hike. Higher rates mean a stronger dollar and less money flowing into risky assets like crypto.
You can see it already. $BTC around $81.7K, down 2% and near the day’s low. $ETH lost $2,500. Even gold is down, which tells you this is about the dollar and rates, not crypto itself.
But core inflation barely moved. If Powell calls this an oil problem and sounds calm, the market could bounce fast.
I’m holding some cash and watching $80K on BTC before I do anything.

Before the CLARITY Act, there was conviction.

New Bitcoin holders are currently holding more BTC than before. The supply held by "short-term holders" has reached approximately 4.08 million BTC—the highest level since mid-June.
What does this mean? This group primarily owns coins purchased within the last five months. Their holdings have increased by about 12% since the lows seen in July, with roughly 154,000 BTC added in the first two weeks of October alone.
However, there is a crucial point to consider: the average cost basis for these holders is around $74,900, which is very close to the current market price. This leaves them with a profit buffer of only about 10%. If the price falls below this level, the group will move into a loss, which could trigger increased selling pressure.
On-chain data further reveals that during the recent price decline, short-term holders sent a larger volume of coins to exchanges, whereas long-term holders showed relatively little movement. This suggests that a significant portion of the current market pressure is originating from these newer holders.
In my view, this data is neither purely "bullish" nor "bearish." Rather, it indicates that the conviction of a large segment of the market is currently being put to the test. Consequently, the price level around $74,900 is significant.
