⚠️ Hackers attacked the Cooperative exchange and returned all the stolen money
The HTX (Huobi) exchange attacker returned all 4,999 ETH hacked from the platform, despite being promised a 5% bug bounty. According to Lookonchain, the hacker paid money to the cooperative's hot wallet through 2 transactions on the evening of October 7.
Previously, immediately after the attack on the Cooperative exchange, he sent a message to the hacker, allowing him to keep 5% of the money taken as a bug bounty reward, with the condition that the money must be paid before October 2.
This is the first time in its 10-year history that the Cooperative (Huobi) has had a security vulnerability causing damage to users. There are currently many theories about the hacker's identity, as well as how he attacked the cooperative.
