Today’s market action felt like it got drunk last night and accidentally pumped, then woke up sober today and regretted it, so it dipped!
The market loves pulling this “surge first, then kick it back down” trick. Good thing I’m dollar-cost averaging—if I’d put on a position to swing trade, I’d be crying in the bathroom!
I don’t have any grand ambitions. I just want to become a “good-for-nothing” through crypto!
As the ancients said, “Learning shows you how much you still don’t know.” After six years in crypto, the more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.
My goal is simple: make more money and avoid costly mistakes. I’m not looking to get rich overnight—I just want to stay in the game and grow my wealth steadily. @ABL阿布辣2020 , pass the baton

October 22: 24-hour trading volume ranking for tokens newly listed on Alpha in the past 30 days
AXIS took off today, surging 442% in 24 hours. Trading volume topped 30 million, with an FDV of around 270 million.
DNA’s trading volume was through the roof, at over 100 million. Its price is around 0.2, down nearly 15%, with an FDV of around 200 million. The trading competition has 6 days left. Interest is still high, but the price drop is also significant.
CT’s contract has 8 days left. It’s down 17%, with trading volume of over 6 million and an FDV of 270 million as well.
XDP also had solid volume at 70 million, dipping 3%. Its FDV is 187 million, with 6 days left.
GSTOCK rose 55%, but its market cap is tiny: an FDV of just over 7 million and trading volume of over 2 million.
BTC surged to around 84,700 last night, squeezing short sellers. Across the market, liquidations totaled about $243 million over the past 24 hours, including $188 million in short positions—nearly 80% of the total. The price is still hovering above 84,000.
Asian tech stocks rebounded on strong earnings from SpaceX and Super Micro, lifting risk sentiment. Musk’s SpaceX and Tesla are reportedly discussing a merger; together, the two companies hold around 30,000 BTC.
ZEC also rallied, gaining more than 10% in 24 hours after developers set a date for its next upgrade.
As for ETFs, spot BTC ETFs saw net outflows of about 400 BTC on the 21st, while ETH ETFs continued to see outflows. Inflows haven’t been sustained enough, and prices haven’t yet broken decisively out of this range.
Today, watch to see whether BTC can hold above 84,000 and whether any new macro news emerges.
There’s actually no major news. Volatility is just extremely low, and everyone’s waiting for a signal from the Fed. Those of you pinning your hopes on buying the Bitcoin dip must be feeling even worse!!!
October 21: 24-hour trading volume rankings for tokens newly listed on Alpha in the past 30 days
DNA: Current price 0.2345, 24-hour trading volume of 118 million, down slightly by 0.32%. 7 days left in the trading competition.
DRV: Price 0.3966, up 0.77%, but trading volume is just over 1.7 million.
CT: Price 0.3332, up over 2%, with trading volume of over 4 million.
XDP: Price 0.0193, trading volume of 95.41 million, down slightly by 0.21%.
GSTOCK and BREW: Both priced in the 0.004 range, with trading volumes in the 300,000–400,000 range. They fell 5% and 10%, respectively, over the past 24 hours.
BTC surged to around $83,300 last night before pulling back, and is currently trading in the $82,600–$83,100 range. ETH fluctuated slightly around $2,400. As of the 19th, Eastern Time, U.S. spot BTC ETFs saw net inflows of about $527 million—the largest single-day inflow in nearly a month—with BlackRock’s IBIT alone taking in around $665 million. ETH ETFs, meanwhile, continued to see net outflows of about $103 million.
Papertrade is in trouble again: citing concerns about short selling, the team is still not allowing PAPER transfers. Platforms including Paragon and Aster have suspended the related pre-market contracts and settled them. Machi Big Brother has accumulated losses of around $830,000 on the platform, and can’t sell the piles of PAPER he mined. The community reaction has been strong.
Overall, funds are flowing back into ETFs, but prices are still moving back and forth in the $81,000–$83,000 range, with considerable volatility. Watch for any new macro news or token-unlock pressure today. #瑞士批准首只比特币ETF
Same old recipe in crypto today—the familiar flavor.
BTC is hovering around $81,000, and ETH is pulling back along with it. The major coins aren’t making any big moves. But institutions haven’t stopped: BlackRock has filed for another Bitcoin-protection ETF, and IBIT has also seen significant inflows. JPMorgan is still saying BTC could deliver 10% annualized returns over the next decade, outperforming stocks and gold. Strategy bought another 267 coins. In the short term, it may still fall, and it may still trade sideways.
Superman’s DCA is now on day 67. Still 100U. Purchase price: $81489.86; amount purchased: 0.00122.
The hardest part of investing isn’t losing money—it’s being right about what’s coming, then missing out
When I first entered the market, I firmly believed that cycles followed their own rules and that hard work would be rewarded. I always held to the crypto market’s four-year cycle, assuming that every rise and fall was predetermined. Lie low at the bottom, buy on dips, and as long as I had the patience to build a heavy BTC position near the lows and wait for the next bull run, doubling my wealth would follow naturally. Back then, I thought making money wasn’t hard: understand the cycles, stay patient, and you could reap the market’s rewards. It took going through this market cycle for me to truly understand the deepest regret in investing: it’s never the loss from being stuck in a position, but accurately predicting what would happen and then missing out entirely. As the old saying goes, “You may strive for a perfect ending, only to wake and find it all slipped away.” At last, I know firsthand what that feels like.
BTC is hovering around $81,000, moving back and forth. It’s currently around $81,300–$81,600. ETH is fluctuating near $2,400.
Over the past 24 hours, total liquidations across the market were roughly $220–$330 million, with long positions accounting for most of them—around 60–70%. BTC spot ETFs have seen continued outflows recently, totaling around $82 million. ETH ETFs have also seen outflows.
The Fear & Greed Index has fallen to around 55, but remains in the greed zone. Tom Lee’s view is that crypto and chip stocks have fallen to support levels. If fundamentals hold steady, a rally could happen at any time.
For now, the market is still digesting the hotter-than-expected CPI and PPI figures, as well as the aftershocks of the sell-off in AI stocks. The $81,000 level is an important support.
October 17, Alpha’s 30-day ranking of newly listed tokens by 24H trading volume
DNA has 29 days left and was only listed yesterday. It’s up 613% in 24 hours, with a trading volume of over 50 million and an FDV nearing 286 million.
XDP has a trading volume of over 90 million, but its price is down 3.6%. It has 11 days left, with an FDV of 187 million.
CT has 13 days left. Its price has stayed steady around 0.38 and has barely moved.
DRV has 27 days left. Its price is 0.4, down 1.7%, with a trading volume of over 4 million.
GSTOCK and BREW both have 8 days left. Their prices are both around 0.00x, trading volumes are only in the hundreds of thousands, and they’re down 4–5%.
Markets were hit by another wave of volatility over inflation data. Nearly $1 billion was liquidated yesterday, and BTC briefly fell below $80,000. Today, it slowly climbed back to around $81,500.
People who panic most in times like this are often those using leverage or chasing the rally. For me, dollar-cost averaging is business as usual: buy when it’s time, and buy a little more when prices drop.
Volatility is part of the game. Day 63 of Superman’s Bitcoin DCA: purchase price: $81,527.97, amount purchased: 0.00122
There are only so many times you can talk about placing stop-loss orders on-chain before it brings you to tears. The moment you place an order, its price level lights up on the liquidation map—it’s no different from holding up a sign saying, “I’m right here.” Stop hunts keep working not because the hunters are especially skilled, but because your intentions are impossible to hide in the first place. That’s how transparent blockchains work: all your cards are face up on the table.
So when I came across Nillion’s Covenants, I really did stop and take a closer look. Other privacy projects hide the transactions themselves—the amounts, the addresses. This tackles another layer: hiding your intentions. Your orders, the conditions you’re waiting for, and the strategies you’re running are all public on-chain by default. Covenants is designed to solve that problem.
At its core, it’s an encrypted instruction. You define an action—for example, sell at a certain price, place a bid in an auction, or release a payment at a set time—then seal it and bind it to a condition before putting it on-chain. It remains fully encrypted: the blockchain can’t read it, the nodes can’t read it, and even Nillion can’t read it. The moment the condition is met, it unlocks and executes by itself. No bot, no keeper, and no third party holding it for you and promising not to peek. In short: you seal it, and it opens itself.
There are plenty of possible use cases: stop-loss orders nobody can hunt, bids that stay sealed until an auction ends, proving you made a prediction before an event happened, and payments that release automatically at a set time. For large investors and anyone protecting a strategy, these are essential.
Dusk is now live on Ethereum mainnet—not a testnet, but the real mainnet.
I bought a little spot $NIL myself. It’s not a big position; I mainly want to follow along. A promising technical vision doesn’t guarantee it’ll work in practice, so I’ll be keeping an eye on the number of real-world applications, execution reliability, and the cost of using it. If developers are genuinely willing to keep using this system, that’s when it might have staying power.
October 16, #ALPHA : 24H trading volume ranking for tokens newly listed in the past 30 days
CT ranks first, with a price of 0.3839 and nearly 5 million in 24-hour trading volume. Its FDV has already reached 383M. Limit order volume was over 18 million that day, compared with 48 million the day before. There are 14 days left on the contract, and activity is seriously high.
XDP is second, with even more volume: 113 million over 24 hours, while its price is only 0.0194 and its FDV is 194M. Limit order volume was 590,000 that day, versus 15.43 million the day before, so it’s been pretty volatile. There are 12 days left.
BREW and GSTOCK both have 9 days left, with volumes of around 500,000 and gains of 6.44% and 10.45%, respectively. GSTOCK is up a bit more, but limit order volume is very low for both—just a few thousand that day, compared with 30,000–50,000 the day before.
DRV has the longest time remaining at 28 days. Its price is 0.4086, trading volume is 3.24 million, and its FDV is already 612M—the highest in this group. But limit order volume was just 731 that day, compared with over 50,000 the day before, so things are a little quiet.
APM has just 1 day left before expiry. Its price is 0.00393, down 1.28%. Almost nobody is trading it via limit orders: volume was 294 that day, compared with 30,000 the day before.
BTC fell below 81,000 overnight, hitting a low near 80,400, and has now recovered to around 82,400. ETH was weaker, dipping to around 2,400.
U.S. September CPI came in at 3.7% year over year, above expectations of 3.6%; core CPI at 2.6% also beat expectations. The probability of a Fed rate hike in October briefly surged before falling back to around 26–30%. Asian equities were also under pressure, with South Korea’s KOSPI plunging about 8–9% in morning trading.
Over the past 24 hours, liquidations across the crypto market totaled several hundred million to nearly $1 billion, with long positions accounting for over 85%. In the latest hour, liquidations exceeded $476 million, with longs making up 95%. Leveraged longs were flushed out in a wave of liquidations.
Overall, markets are being weighed down by CPI and declining risk appetite. There is support around 80,000, but prices remain under pressure above that level.
