#IRSPlansLowerTaxDisclosurePenaltiesForCryptoCases 🇺🇸 IRS Plans Lower Penalties for Crypto Tax Disclosures 📰 IRS-CI chief Jarod Koopman: a revamped Voluntary Disclosure Program arrives before December (Forbes, Oct 23). ⏱️ Goal: close cases within 120 days. Today it can take a year or more. 📉 Penalties "substantially lower," no figures yet. 💳 Installment plans and settlement offers under review. 🪙 No separate crypto track; digital assets use the same program. ⚠️ It covers willful noncompliance, not honest mistakes. What it means for crypto: a cheaper way to clean up old gains could pull holders into compliance, but enforcement isn't going away. Would this get more holders to come clean? 👇 $BTC $ETH #CryptoNews #CryptoTax #IRS #IRSPlansLowerTaxDisclosurePenaltiesForCryptoCases
