Fear index at 25. Extreme Fear. Bitcoin down almost 3 percent. Dominance at 56 percent tells you the rest. Altcoins are getting punished harder. My hands are itchy. But selective means waiting for the right setup. I'm watching support levels on BTC and a few oversold alts that held up better. I'm not rushing to catch a falling knife. That feeling of missing out is real. So is the fear of losing more. Both can be bad advisors. I'm checking volume and order books. Waiting for a daily close that confirms a reversal. Maybe it comes this week. Maybe not. I'm prepared to sit out if nothing lines up. That's what selective entering means to me. Not every dip is yours to take. Patience is part of the trade. Watching. Preparing. Waiting for the moment where risk and reward finally make sense.

Bitcoin's stock-to-flow ratio now sits near 54, the highest of any monetary asset in history. That single number drives the entire investment thesis.

• The April 2024 halving cut new supply to 3.125 BTC per block, roughly 164,000 new coins yearly. At current prices, that is about $14 billion in new selling pressure annually. Gold adds over $150 billion in new above-ground supply each year. Bitcoin's scarcity is not theoretical, it is a measurable supply shock.

• The third cycle since 2020 saw institutional demand fundamentally change the market structure. Spot ETFs now hold over 1.1 million BTC, more than 5% of the total supply. This creates a bid that did not exist in previous halving cycles.

• Critics often dismiss Bitcoin's volatility as disqualifying for a store of value. But volatility measures price fluctuation, not purchasing power decay. Since 2017, Bitcoin's compound annual growth rate is roughly 55%. No government bond or savings account matched that without immense counterparty risk.

Digital gold is a misleading label. Gold has a 4% annual supply inflation. Bitcoin's is approaching zero. The real question is not whether Bitcoin will hold its value. It is whether any asset with an unlimited printing schedule can compete with perfectly verifiable scarcity. 🧵
