Last month someone found out that I still hadn’t been to Japan. This month, they grabbed me and took me there (haha～ Honestly, my usual impression of traveling to Japan has always been really good. I’d often think that someday I should go to Japan and have fun. As it turns out, more than thirty years of my life have passed and I still haven’t been？！ Yeah, so why is Japan so close yet I still haven’t gone? I can think of lots of possibilities—language, money, personality, motivation, work… and so on. Plus, I’m not really a travel person, and I’m definitely not the type who likes to travel solo, so I guess I just never really got the chance. Then last month, by chance, I was chatting with a friend about how I hadn’t been to Japan, and I got asked—casually—whether I wanted to go in July. There was also this awesome event, WebX, which I could participate in. At the moment, I thought July was fine and I said yes. But in my heart I was thinking, how is it that this is being talked about like it’s as easy as joining a casual sports game？Haha I originally booked the flights and hotel soon after. I was hoping everything would go smoothly. But just as the date got closer, a ferocious typhoon was coming straight for Taiwan. When I saw the typhoon track, I was absolutely desperate. It caused the original flights to be cancelled. So I had to unlock a new achievement passively—pay extra to grab new tickets at the last minute, and manage to take off before the typhoon arrived so the trip wouldn’t be ruined. Shibuya commercial area, Shinjuku commercial area, Ginza commercial area, Hatchobuen, Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Yokohama Outlet, flavor ramen, hand-squeezed matcha, wagyu shabu-shabu, dark alley chicken paitan, affordable sashimi, the loyal dog Hachiko, Pikachu. Every day I walked so much I felt exhausted, but it also felt like I was constantly recharging. Thanks to my good friend for the invitation, care, and hosting ~ you tirelessly took me to so many places, took so many photos, fed me so many great meals, and bought me so many clothes (actually, that’s the real point？！Haha). I used to think Japan was so close… it wouldn’t matter if I went when I’m older. But now I feel that going sooner is also pretty great！ PS: This time for the @BNB_Chain Side Event, the sponsor booth beside it—on one side, Unitas was giving out golden little keychains (I got one too XD). On the other side, Renaiss had games where you could win Pokémon card packs. I was so lucky—I pulled a PSA-graded Pikachu card ~ Thanks to @renaissprotocol .
