Ukraine’s military said on October 19 that a unit used a temporarily modified heavy drone to lift a severely wounded Ukrainian soldier out of a frontline minefield, calling it the “world’s first” evacuation of a casualty from the front line using an aerial drone.
Ukraine’s 92nd Separate Assault Brigade said it was an “unprecedented operation.” The wounded soldier was in a minefield and an area of intense Russian drone activity, making evacuation by conventional means, such as ground-based unmanned vehicles, impossible. The injured soldier is receiving treatment and is no longer in life-threatening danger.

Ukraine’s 92nd Separate Assault Brigade said it was an “unprecedented operation.” The wounded soldier was in a minefield and an area of intense Russian drone activity, making evacuation by conventional means, such as ground-based unmanned vehicles, impossible. Several Ukrainian units took part in the rescue, including the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The exact time and location of the incident are not yet known. The injured soldier is receiving treatment and is no longer in life-threatening danger.
According to reports, a drone operator piloted an unmanned aircraft to the target area, after which the wounded soldier secured himself beneath a large hexacopter. The drone was supplied by the Ukrainian startup Gurzuf Defense, and is the Heavy Shot Ayudag-6 model.
Gurzuf Defense said in a statement: “Our company’s specialists took on a task no one had ever attempted before—evacuating a soldier using an aerial drone.” It noted that heavy drones had previously been used mainly to deliver ammunition and supplies to the front line. The mission lasted about 75 minutes and covered approximately 62 kilometers. The Ukrainian military and the company worked together to test and modify the drone to ensure stable flight while carrying the wounded soldier and to prevent it from flipping over or shaking violently.

One woman in Yiwu sells bags and luggage through the small-goods market, and her GMV is two “small goals” (200 million).
Another woman in Yiwu works in supply chain and is a top seller, with annual GMV of over 40 million.
I really don’t know how to leverage connections and network, or how to maintain relationships with relatives.
But after making the rounds, I learned a lot
and realized how important it is to maintain relationships.
Some people you’re close to are willing to teach you; others you’re not as close to generally aren’t willing to help.
As for my impressions of these places: I feel that ordinary people in Shenzhen are much like ordinary people in Yiwu—sometimes even worse off than those in Yiwu.
Nanjing is much better than the other places, and people in Hangzhou seem to be in the best frame of mind.
As for Hong Kong, ordinary people there seem to be in the best frame of mind. It’s a place where even ordinary people have dignity. I really like it there; ordinary people seem to be doing well and living with a sense of refinement.

When the time comes, will you really believe what they say? They used to say the government would support you in your old age if you had just one child. Where is that support now?
Now they’re telling you that you just need to work for more years. Can ordinary workers really live that long?
Even if you do live that long, will you be able to collect your benefits?
