🎙 bStocks: How tokenized assets work and what you need to know

🪪 Why does the exchange need my data?

Meet Oleg, an engineer. A friend told him about Binance, so Oleg downloaded the app and got to the “Verify your identity” screen. He stopped there and wondered: “My passport, a selfie… Where does all of this go?”

Data don’t have legs, of course, but it’s a good question—let’s take a look!

Why we ask for a document
Verification protects your account: it lets us know that you’re the person behind it. It’s also a required part of international AML standards, which help keep the platform safe for everyone. Once you’re verified, you’ll have access to all features: deposits, trading, and withdrawals.

What happens to your data
— It’s protected with encryption, and internal access to it is strictly limited.
— You can request a copy of your data in the Privacy Center in your account settings.

We usually review applications within 48 hours, but it’s generally much faster.

📅 US markets close for the weekend, but Gen Z keeps trading

Binance Research looked at how trading activity is distributed across generations—and the weekend figures stood out.

Here’s what the data shows:
— Gen Z makes 11.5% of its bStocks trades on weekends
— For all other generations, the figure is 6.9%
— That’s about 1.7 times higher

At the same time, Gen Z is the largest group of bStocks users, accounting for 46% of all users.

What does this mean in practice?
When markets close for the weekend, plenty of users remain active on Binance.

Prices of tokenized assets keep moving on Saturday and Sunday, so by the time the market opens, there may be a gap from the last closing price.

Some may see this as an opportunity—but there are no guarantees, and trading always involves risk 👀

🌙 The US stock market is open 6.5 hours a day. bStocks are available around the clock

Five days a week, with a break for the weekend—that’s how ordinary assets of global companies are traded. Tokenized assets don’t have this limitation.

Around 56% of all bStocks trading volume takes place outside US market hours:
— 49% on weekdays, before the market opens or after it closes
— 7% on weekends

More than half. And this figure has stayed above 50% almost every week since launch.

Why does this matter? When the exchange is closed, the news doesn’t stop. bStocks prices keep moving—and you can react right away instead of waiting for the market to open on Monday 🕐

Ondo, the only other issuer to reach that milestone, took 265 days. More than twice as long.

The pace along the way is even more telling:
— bStocks crossed $500 million on day 46
— Ondo took 175 days
— xStocks took 403 days

And it’s not just about reshuffling market share. Since launch, bStocks has accounted for more than half of all growth in the tokenized asset market:

Binance’s tokenized assets reached $1 billion in assets under management in just 125 days — twice as fast as the market’s second-best performer.

Here’s what the data shows:
