Today is the exercise day for $BTC again. This PUT options round was pretty successful—I’ve collected a total premium of 542221u. But compared with the loss on the contract, the overall trade still turned out to be a failure. In this bull market run, not only did I not make any money, I even set a historical record of a single trade loss of 3.5 million u. 🤡
3.5 million u is just money, not everything in life. So lately I haven’t really been watching the market either—I’ve been busy with a self-driving trip. Today I depart from Chengdu and will take Route 318 to Lhasa; the whole trip is expected to take 15 days.
Next, I’ll put together a recovery plan: using options trading, split it into 35 trades, earning 100,000 u per trade—then I should be able to get it back. But this also shows: failure only needs to happen once, while coming back takes 35 successful times. 😂

Not only in the dream—before, when I went out, I didn’t even bring a phone for trading crypto, and it didn’t feel like anything. But yesterday, when I went to a friend’s place, I could clearly feel I was distracted. I started worrying a lot about the trend of $BTC . This clearly affected my life. For a person, besides money, mental and physical health is what matters most. So I decided to terminate this trade.
Buddhism says that all worries in the world come from self-attachment—that’s so true. Looking back on this trade: holding on to the position at first was because I was fixated on achieving a 100% win rate, and that—ironically—is the least useful thing in trading. So yesterday’s top-up, when I think back, was more like being stunned by the recent gains these past few days. I was unwilling to accept it, not believing it could keep going up, and that wasn’t rational.
This position should have been closed as early as yesterday, but I let it survive one more day.
A loss of 3.4 million W is something I can’t help but feel a lot about. I really hope they don’t have to experience something like this 😂 Finally, even though I cut the loss, I still feel that this trend can’t last. This time, there were several fatal mistakes: First, the $BTC spot that bought the dip at 58,000 was copied along with the bottom-position inventory, and later 64,000 was sold—missing out on this entire run of the market. So remember: always believe in $BTC , and never sell your bottom-position holdings. Second, a few times when you should have been chasing shorts, you didn’t; and when you shouldn’t have been chasing shorts, you placed orders—and every time they got filled. Originally there was enough safety margin, but now it has forced your position into danger. So remember: don’t casually try trading contracts. Only firsthand experience can truly help you understand what an irreversible road is. If you’re going to play, then be sure to set take-profit and stop-loss.

What I’ve written above is the心得 from being a top-tier “newbie weed” [i.e., an easy mark], worth 300wu. Of course, if this investment really fails, it won’t affect my life much, because this is a loss I can accept—it’s only a small portion of my total assets. So everyone doesn’t need to worry; I sleep well every day. For me, it’s fine—if it’s gone, then so be it. It’s a life lesson. If I hadn’t fallen on this occasion, I might have fallen harder somewhere else in the future. So I’m advising everyone here: be sure to control your investment position size, and never let yourself be in a passive situation.
