Recent rumors in the community alleged that Tesla added Bitcoin and Dogecoin to its payment page source code. However, recent findings disclosed that the cryptocurrencies were already present in the code since January 2023.
Evidently, Tesla had not eliminated the code when ceasing Bitcoin payments earlier. Currently, "bitcoin" has been removed from Tesla's payment page source code, but "dogecoin" remains.
