COPY THE ACCOUNT. DID YOU VERIFY IT AFTER PASTING IT?
Copying and pasting removes typing errors, but creates another risk: trusting that what you pasted is necessarily correct.
In a P2P transaction, the final check should happen after pasting the data and before authorizing the transfer.

The order shows an account ending in 4821. You copy it, switch to the banking app, and paste the number.
Before you press “Transfer,” compare again:
✅ last digits of the account
✅ bank
✅ account holder
✅ amount
✅ the method indicated in the order
Why?
Because you may have copied the wrong data, selected a previously saved beneficiary, or accidentally changed information during the process.
The “copy” function asks: did I type these characters correctly?
Verification asks something different: am I sending the money to the correct destination for THIS order?
These are different checks.
💡 A five-second review before confirming can prevent a problem that would later take hours to try to resolve.
