Also, this isn't just technical risk: Harmony has proposed sunsetting its L1 and migrating ONE to Ethereum after major security problems.

🚨 Major security damage: In August 2026, an exploit resulted in roughly 3 trillion forged ONE tokens, followed by a blockchain rollback.

🚨 The bigger issue: Harmony later announced a proposal to sunset its Layer-1 network and migrate ONE to Ethereum, citing continuing security threats. That's a major change to the original investment thesis.

🚨Binance itself introduced special price protection on ONEUSDT after the Harmony security incident because of spot-price divergence and deposit/withdrawal issues.

🚨The original project still has real technology and ONE has utility for fees, staking and governance, but those fundamentals are much less compelling after the 2026 events.
