Mobile game giant Zynga officially introduced its first Web3 game
Zynga, one of the largest mobile game developers and publishers in the world, has introduced its first #Web3 game, which it calls Sugartown.
in 2020, Zynga acquired the Turkish gaming company Peak Games for $ 1.8 billion, becoming the first major mobile game developer to develop a Web3 game from scratch. Sugartown is built on the Ethereum network and players can earn rewards along with an immersive experience.
As can be seen from the promotional video, Sugartown is the story of three farm animals who accidentally open the door to another dimension.
In the game, ERC-721 based Ora tokens are used as proof of ownership. Players get energy by staking these tokens, while they can use this energy to earn Sugar, the in-game currency used to play Sugartown and unlock rewards.
Matt Wolf, Vice President of Zynga Web3, said in a statement, โWe are excited to release Sugartown as both Zynga's first Web3 game and the first Web3 game released by a major mobile game developer. We created Sugartown to cater to the Web3 Sunday, but we set out with the goal of scaling it much wider over time while creating a passionate and engaged user community that we hope will enjoy bringing this experience to life as much as we did.โ he used his expressions.
Zynga worked with blockchain infrastructure company Forte while developing Sugartown. The two companies entered into a strategic partnership in 2021 to bring blockchain games to the mainstream
Sugartown's announcement was first made to the Web3 community through a strategic marketing campaign on X and Discord. Another share from the X account of the game today has created a mystery. The post read, "We're just getting started. Be here tomorrow.โ statements were included. #BTC #Binance
