😂 200 crypto influencers. 10M+ followers. About 200 NFTs sold.

NFT project Robin Guards paid around 200 Crypto Twitter KOLs to promote a $5 NFT collection. By the project's own count, that's roughly one sale per influencer, a conversion rate near 0.002%.

When the team stopped paying, some of the same accounts started calling the project a scam. So Robin Guards went nuclear: a public list of 100+ names, plus screenshots it says show like-trading group chats, bought followers and AI-generated replies.

The influencers have their own version: some say they simply didn't get paid.

The project's advice to other teams is worth stealing:
• check reach versus actual views
• look at who really replies, and whether it's the same 40 accounts every time
• ask for past conversion numbers, not screenshots of impressions

My take: views are cheap, buyers aren't. The same rule works here on Square. Twenty real people in your comments beat twenty thousand bot impressions.

Who's the bigger villain here: the project or the KOLs? 👇
