📉Ether ETF outflows keep stacking while Bitcoin funds return to inflows. Here's what the data shows, what could change it, and what to watch.
Same Fed, same market, two very different answers. Bitcoin ETFs are getting money back, and Ether ETFs are still losing it. 🤔
📊 What Happened?
On Monday, October 26, US spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $110.3M, entirely through BlackRock's IBIT, while spot Ether ETFs lost $88.6M.
October's Ether ETF outflow is now about $1.32 billion, and it was already the biggest monthly outflow of 2026 by October 21.
Last week showed the same split. Bitcoin funds netted $301M despite a $635.6M Thursday exit, while Ether ETFs lost $221M after about $320M the week before.
📉 Where ETH Is
ETH sits near $2,350 after the Fed held rates at 3.75%–4.00%, up about 1% on the day. It started the month near $2,700, so it's roughly 13% lower since.
The bigger warning is in the US the Coinbase Premium Index hit its lowest level since February, which points to soft US buying.
📐 The Divergence Traders Are Watching
Even the "good" side is narrow. IBIT drew $565.7M last week while the other Bitcoin funds lost about $264.5M.
On the Other side, BlackRock's ETHA lost $104.7M on Monday while Fidelity's FETH added $16.13M. Flows are not just weak, they are concentrated in a few funds.
🔄 What Changed in the Flows
Ether ETFs were still strong in September, with $832M of inflows. Daily outflows began on September 29 and accelerated in October.
When steady ETF buying turns into steady selling, spot buyers have to absorb the difference. That is what $2,350 is testing.
🧱 The Other Side of the Story
One bad month is not a collapse. Ether ETFs were still net positive by about $610M in 2026 as of October 18, and ETH gained 71% in Q3. Flows measure investor activity, not future price.
⚠️ The Risk Scenario
ETH was down nearly 18% for 2026 as of October 21, and elevated bond yields and talk of a December rate hike limit risk appetite. CoinGape flags $2,278 as a key support level. A close below it would give bears the weak-demand story they want.
If outflows slow and the Coinbase Premium recovers, the setup changes. Neither outcome is certain.
👀 Three Things to Watch Next
Do Ether ETFs post several inflow days in a row?
Does the Coinbase Premium recover from its lowest level since February?
Do Bitcoin ETF inflows spread beyond IBIT?
💡 The key takeaway
Bitcoin ETFs are recovering while Ether ETFs lose money at the fastest pace of 2026. ETH sits above $2,278 support, but the US demand signals are weak.
The real question isn't whether ETH holds $2,350 today. It's whether ETF buyers return before support breaks.
That is the part worth watching.
