What’s the real barrier holding cross-chain back?
I recently went through an interview with Andrey Fedorov, CMO & CBDO at STONfi Dev, and one point stood out: technology is improving, but the user experience still feels complicated for many people.
In the conversation, he explains why STONfi approached cross-chain differently. Instead of focusing on technical terms like atomic execution or resolver networks, they framed the experience around a simple idea moving assets between chains the way you’d take a direct flight between destinations. The goal was to make the process feel more intuitive.
The interview also digs into the idea of chain abstraction. According to Fedorov, true abstraction is when users stop thinking about blockchains altogether. The ideal experience becomes: I have this asset, I want that one, and I get it without managing networks, bridges, or multiple wallets.
