According to Foresight News: Web development management platform Convex has released an open-source project called AI Town, which allows developers to run and build their own customized AI world simulations using Javascript. The goal of the project is to enable everyone to create their own simulated environments through AI agents.
As previously reported by Foresight News, in April 2022, Convex raised $26 million in funding led by a16z, with participation from Jamstack Innovation Fund and individual investors such as former GitHub CEO Nat Friedman, Alphabet board member Ram Shriram, and Creative Artists Agency founder Michael Ovitz. a16z general partner Martin Casado will join Convex's board of directors.
