This person has been almost unstoppable on ETH shorts🤯.
Over the past 10 days, wallet 0xd9a...8bbf3 has built an impressive track record, making around $600K in profit while maintaining an 80% win rate by repeatedly shorting $ETH with 10x leverage.
Since July 27, the trader has opened 20 separate ETH short positions. Many of them were closed within about an hour, showing a clear preference for fast, high-conviction trades rather than holding positions for long.

Just few minutes ago, the wallet entered yet another short, opening a position on 14,519.62 #ETH worth approximately $27.21M at an average entry price of $1,874.2.
One thing that stands out is the position sizing. Every trade has been at least $3M, with the largest reaching more than $70M, a strategy that's delivered consistent gains so far, but leaves very little room for mistakes.

My local view on #ETH

So far, everything is going according to plan:

1. We broke out of the wedge and are now retesting it
2. Liquidity sweep at $1,804
3. First long zone: $1,720/$1,800
4. Second long zone: $1,744/$1,680

5. Conservative target: $2,000
6. If $BTC reaches $70K/$72K, then ETH target is $2,100/$2,200

As I mentioned earlier, $ETH looks stronger than BTC, so in my opinion, the probability of reaching the second zone is low.

Of course, there’s still a chance we won’t even reach the first long zone, but I can’t recommend taking an overly risky long.

$ETH has performed better than BTC and other altcoins during this correction.

However, be careful with long positions. Over the next 30–90 days, I expect the final correction to begin.

Ethereum developers are discussing a proposal called EIP-8361
and it could change how staking rewards work over time.

The proposal has not been approved. It is still in the draft stage. But it’s worth understanding because it focuses on Ethereum’s long-term security.

What is EIP-8361?

Today, validators earn new ETH for helping secure the network.

EIP-8361 suggests burning part of those rewards as more ETH gets staked. The higher the staking ratio, the bigger the burn.

If 50% of all ETH is eventually staked, the proposal would reduce net consensus rewards to zero. Validators would still receive MEV and priority fees, but the protocol would stop creating new ETH for staking.

Why propose this?

The main goal is to prevent too much ETH from being locked in staking.

Lower issuance could also reduce inflation and limit the advantage of staking over simply holding ETH.

What happens next?

Nothing changes today.
