$NOM is an ERC-20 token deployed on Ethereum and functions as the core asset of Nomina, retaining the use cases outlined in the original Omni Network roadmap. It is designed to anchor advanced trading automation, facilitate use cases across exchanges, and act as primary support for the Nomina EVM.

Nomina was co-founded by Austin King and Tyler Tarsi. As part of this transition, $NOM was introduced as a redenominated token from $OMNI at a 1:75 ratio. OMNI will soon be delisted from Binance and other crypto exchanges to make way for the full rollout of NOM, which now powers staking, governance, and cross-rollup activity on the network.

In addition, the team has indicated plans to allocate $NOM toward community initiatives, including funding product development. In September 2025, an early version of Nomina’s trading terminal was released to select testers through an exclusive access program. Its current iteration integrates perpetual trading across multiple decentralized exchanges, with further plans to deliver a broader suite of strategy features.
