Global stock funds attracted a net $18.62 billion in the latest weekly fund-flow reading, as investors kept piling into equities on the back of AI optimism and a resilient earnings season.
The fresh inflows extend a multi-week streak of positive flows into global equity funds. According to LSEG Lipper data cited by financial wires, global equity funds had already logged nine consecutive weeks of inflows through late July, fueled by strong demand for technology and AI-linked strategies, upbeat earnings expectations, and cooling U.S. inflation that tempered fears of aggressive Fed tightening.
The pace has been choppy but firmly positive: weekly inflows ranged from $10.5B to $49.2B over the past month, with Europe and Asia contributing the bulk of fresh money while U.S. equity funds saw more muted flows.
Sector-wise, technology funds have been the clear standout, attracting inflows for four straight weeks through late July, with financials and healthcare also in demand.
Bottom line: money is still rotating into global equities — the question is whether the AI-led bid can keep momentum through the late-summer slowdown.
