Welcome to our final dispatch from @money2020 USA. The conversations yesterday focused on how absolute necessity is driving the accelerated acceptance of stablecoins across various emerging markets. Now, the central question for today shifts closer to home, asking whether artificial intelligence agents might trigger that exact same level of adoption within domestic economies like the US. Explore the complete thread below for all the details.
Here are the latest insights gathered from the third day of Money20/20. We mentioned yesterday that the initial major use case for stablecoins is anticipated to be B2B cross-border payments. The panel discussions hosted today highlighted the specific regions driving this trend. Emerging markets are currently advancing this adoption at a disproportionately high rate, and everyday consumers are tracking right behind them. Continue reading the thread below.
Checking in from the second day of @money2020. If you caught my thread yesterday, you know we reached one primary conclusion: stablecoins are poised to win B2B cross-border payments first. Stepping into my role as the editorial and communications lead for Maple, I spent my time today exploring exactly why that is the case. Read the full thread below.
Team Maple has officially touched down at @money2020 USA. Serving as the editorial and communications lead, I will be delivering nightly recaps of the live panels. I will be sharing exactly what payment companies, regulators, banks, and fintechs are discussing during their stage presentations. Expect detailed coverage on the origins of yield, the use of stablecoins for transferring funds, and the latest developments regarding AI agents. Dive into the thread below.
Traditional banking institutions will ultimately hold a smaller portion of your money. That is the primary conclusion drawn by @syrupsid in the newly released October edition of the Maple Memo.
The piece outlines an approaching era in which AI agents take over the daily management of our idle cash. According to this vision, funds will be shifted away from standard bank accounts and directed into tokenised credit, operating entirely on continuous onchain rails that never close.
You can explore the full memo by visiting the direct link provided below.
The event has officially concluded. For your convenience, we have gathered all the details from the Maple Q3 2026 Ecosystem Update, featuring discussions with @syrupsid and @HenriArslanian, directly into this single thread. In case you were unable to tune in during the live stream, please do not worry. You will find a link to the complete replay at the very bottom of these posts. Scroll down to get started.
Be sure to tune in live on X tomorrow, October 13, at 11:00 ET. @joe_defi and @syrupsid will be presenting the Q3 results, discussing the first quarter of rules-based SYRUP buybacks, and outlining the future growth trajectory for Maple. Afterward, @HenriArslanian will take part in a fireside chat to explore the institutional adoption of onchain credit, and he will conclude the event by hosting a Q&A session.
We have successfully concluded our SYRUP buyback for the current month. The protocol generated $1.57M in revenue during September, and a 20% allocation was made from this total as outlined by MIP-021. With this dedicated sum of $314,116, we purchased 1,371,166 SYRUP tokens at an average price of $0.229 each.
Please keep in mind that these buybacks operate strictly according to the rules-based design established in MIP-021. This process is not a dividend, distribution, profit-share, or guaranteed return.
As institutional onchain credit evolves into its next phase, it requires fiat infrastructure capable of matching the rapid speed of the lending book. To address this operational need, Maple has officially formed a banking partnership with IRACE Digital Bank. This new collaboration is designed to oversee institutional cash management, handle fiat settlement, and facilitate the flow of payments between Maple and its institutional counterparties.
We are pleased to share that syrupUSDC is now officially available on the @arc instance from Aave. Following this listing, the largest asset from Maple is perfectly positioned to utilize Aave liquidity directly on Arc.
Make sure to tune in live on X this October 13 at 11:00 ET for an insightful discussion regarding our ongoing development.
We are delighted to welcome @HenriArslanian, who will participate in a fireside chat exploring the methods institutions are using to transition credit onchain. Following the chat, he will take the stage to moderate an open Q&A.
Additionally, @joe_defi and @syrupsid will outline the specific steps Maple is taking to achieve its primary vision of functioning as the foundational credit and yield layer for an increasingly prominent stablecoin economy. To illustrate our recent momentum, they will unpack our Q3 results while examining the initial quarter of our rules-based buybacks facilitated by MIP-021.

We are pleased to report a fifth consecutive month of financial growth, with protocol revenue at Maple reaching $1.57M during September. This reflects a healthy climb from the $1.47M recorded in August. In alignment with MIP-021, 20% of these recent earnings will go toward funding the SYRUP buyback for this month. This is a substantial increase from the 10% revenue allocation that was applied in the previous month.
Next week, the Maple team will be spending time throughout Singapore to attend @TOKEN2049. We are currently paying very close attention to APAC, as this area is positioned to usher in the upcoming surge of institutional onchain capital. To represent us locally, @syrupsid and @MartindRijke will be readily available on the ground. Our schedule for the trip is heavily focused on connecting with various regional market makers, treasuries, allocators, and exchanges. We would love to chat, so please send a message if you are interested in setting up a time to get together.
Beginning this week, the Maple brand is undergoing a major evolution. The driving force behind this change is a very straightforward concept, which is that capital needs to be activated. Read through the thread below to learn exactly why we are making this shift and to discover everything that activated capital can make possible.
We are thrilled to debut our By Invitation Only dinner series in Vegas on October 19, 2026. If you plan to be at @money2020 Vegas, this is an excellent opportunity to share a meal and engage in valuable discussions with @syrupsid and @oost_marcel. Because we carefully curate our attendee list to feature specific professional backgrounds and distinct perspectives, available capacity is highly restricted. Please help us inaugurate this new program by submitting your registration of interest at http://luma.com/maple-bio-01.
We are pleased to share that syrupUSDC, syrupUSDT, and syrupUSDG are all transitioning to @chainlink CCIP 2.0. By moving to this advanced infrastructure, users will immediately experience significantly faster bridging times. Additionally, this integration sets the stage for direct minting and redeeming capabilities natively on alternative blockchains down the road. Please continue reading below for a full breakdown of the upcoming changes.
Question: When evaluating different stablecoin yield offerings, what specific details should you examine?
Answer: It is essential to look further than the advertised return. You must determine the identity of the party providing the yield, the underlying economic operations funding it, and the safeguards established to secure your assets. Simply looking at a percentage rate provides almost no indication of how sustainable that return will be over time.

If your plans include a trip to @Money2020, we would love for you to kick off the week alongside our team.
On Monday, October 19, we are organizing a 45-minute coached fitness bootcamp guided by @oost_marcel. The session begins exactly at 07:20 PT at a location just 10 minutes away from The Venetian.

Have you ever wondered how overcollateralization functions in everyday scenarios?
In practice, a person taking out a loan is required to provide initial assets that exceed the total amount they are receiving. If unfavorable market shifts occur, this borrower must supply additional collateral to maintain the loan. Failing to add extra value will result in the automatic closure of their position.
Please let us know below if there are any other topics you would like our team to tackle next.
