Michael Saylor, executive chairman of Strategy, said Bitcoin’s price will rise back above $100,000, even as Strategy remains prepared to sell some of its holdings. Strategy sold a small amount of Bitcoin in June, when its price was around $73,000. Saylor described Strategy as a structured finance company that can buy or sell assets daily in ways that benefit shareholders. He said a permanent commitment never to sell Bitcoin would ultimately hurt Strategy’s value. Saylor added that Strategy plans to continue issuing digital credit products such as STRC, alongside buying Bitcoin.
