I almost died yesterday

Back then, I was averaging down. I had a bit of money and used it for a down payment—took out a 5-year, 0-interest loan for a Tesla. Now I have to pay about 3K a month for the car loan for 5 straight years. Although there’s no interest, the car’s total cost is still over 300,000. It’s just too big of a consumption.

If, at the time, I had put the down payment into something else with low leverage and held a long position, then by today I could have bought it outright with cash and still have money left.

There’s no such thing as “what if” in life. Mistakes are mistakes. Face it bravely!
