The House cancelled its final two weeks of voting in September and will leave Washington on September 17.
The Senate is expected to vote on CLARITY just two days earlier, on September 15.
The Senate is still negotiating changes to the bill. If it changes anything, the House must approve the new version, but by then lawmakers could already be gone.
That could delay the crypto CLARITY Act until after the November midterm elections.
