The opportunity for tokenization is clear, but making it work in everyday treasury operations takes more than faster settlement. That is one of the key takeaways from the Payments, Treasury & Tokenisation Summit, where our Chief Risk Officer, John McWhorter, joined fellow industry leaders at PwC Singapore to discuss how tokenization is reshaping treasury and liquidity management. The discussion highlighted both the opportunities and the work ahead: connecting traditional banking with 24/7 markets, clarifying regulatory treatment, and managing risks across on-chain and off-chain systems. Thank you to 8 Circle, PwC Singapore and our fellow panellists for an insightful exchange.

HYBOND, the first tokenized BNY bond fund, has integrated RedStone’s NAV oracle on @BNB_Chain . RedStone's oracle pulls HYBOND’s underlying fund’s disclosed NAV from BNY, independently authenticates the source, and publishes signed updates on-chain. This gives protocols trusted, verifiable pricing data to integrate HYBOND into lending and borrowing markets, risk-tranching protocols, and other DeFi applications, expanding how professionally managed bond exposure can be used on-chain. Verified valuation is one part of that infrastructure. Settlement is next: a planned integration with RedStone's Settle will support T+0 settlement of HYBOND liquidations and redemptions. Tokenization’s move from proof of concept to institutional infrastructure was on the agenda at the BNY APAC Forum in Singapore. Our Founder and CEO, Jeremy Ng, joined Marianna Lopert-Schaye from BNY, Derek Neo from SGX Group, and Steven Hu from OCBC, to discuss that transition before an audience of leading financial institutions. As the only crypto-native company invited to speak at the forum, OpenEden brought the issuer perspective, drawing on experience bringing institutional investment products on-chain. Our experience spans bringing US Treasuries on-chain through TBILL, with BNY serving as investment manager and primary custodian for the underlying assets, and launching the first tokenized BNY bond fund through HYBOND, which offers on-chain exposure to the BNY Mellon Global Short-Dated High Yield Bond Fund. Thank you to BNY for the invitation, and we look forward to continuing to advance institutional tokenization together.
