🌐 IMF Alert: Tokenization Is Growing, but Caution Is Warranted! The International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently highlighted the evolution of asset tokenization. Although the sector holds enormous promise for innovation and automation, the figures and current structure raise an important warning about global stability. Key Highlights: Concentrated Volume, Fragmented Market: Tokenized markets (such as those for repos and bonds) handle hundreds of billions, but still represent only a small fraction of the traditional financial market. Progress with "No Handbrake": Instant settlement (atomic settlement) and 24/7 operation increase efficiency, but eliminate the traditional buffers (settlement delays) that provided time to halt market panics. Contagion Risks: Interconnections between stablecoins, RWA funds, and on-chain credit could accelerate digital bank runs and cause flash crashes during periods of stress. What does this mean? The IMF reiterates that tokenization is the future of financial infrastructure, but advocates for global rules ("same risk, same regulation") to prevent technical failures from amplifying operational crises. The RWA sector is advancing rapidly, but institutional security will be the deciding factor in mass adoption! $AMZNB $GOOGLB $MUB #IMFSaysTokenizedMarketsSmall #RWA #CryptoNews #Web3
