Binance purchased another $304 million worth of Bitcoin BTCUSD on Thursday, completing the conversion of $1 billion in Bitcoin for its Secure Asset Fund for Users (SAFU) wallet, according to Arkham data.

Attack Method: The attacker used a flash loan to temporarily acquire 4.6 million BONE tokens (Shibarium's governance token) on ShibaSwap. This allowed them to control a majority (10 out of 12) of the validator keys, giving them the power to push fraudulent checkpoints to the network's consensus layer and approve malicious transactions. Funds Stolen: The total value of stolen assets was estimated at around $4.1 million.
