🇮🇷 Iran’s supreme leader is reportedly swapping out his top security chief for a harder line loyalist. Mojtaba Khamenei plans to replace Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr as head of the Supreme National Security Council with Mohsen Rezaei, according to a senior cleric and family in law. Rezaei is a longtime IRGC heavyweight and already serves as Mojtaba’s top military aide. If true, this is not a technocratic shuffle at all.
