From the Lab to the Market: Visa Opens the Door to USDC for International Payments

Visa has taken another step from testing to real-world implementation, announcing that its stablecoin prefunding service through Visa Direct is now commercially available. Inyo Global is among the first partners enabling the service.

With this update, eligible businesses can use USDC to fund cross-border payments, with processing that is nearly instant.

The clearest message is that stablecoins are no longer confined to crypto platforms; they are steadily moving into the heart of global payments infrastructure. The goal: reduce reliance on traditional prefunding, speed up international settlements, and open a new chapter in the competition over cross-border payments.
