1/ BTC ~$77,800, range $77,654-$78,781. Price is pinned below every key average: 7-day $78,822, 20-day $80,688, 50-day $82,009 — these are overhead, not support.

2/ What positioning is saying: taker sellers are leading, with a buy/sell ratio of 0.834. Volume rose ~37%, but open interest is flat — meaning there is movement, but no new money. More BTC options traded were puts — hedging and fear, not a call for a crash. US buyers have bid below the global price for the 58th straight day.

Gold ~$3,910/oz, holding above $3,900 — for now.

3/ Two scenarios; wait for the close:

Reclaim: Hold above $78,500-$79,000, then test $80,500-$82,000
Rejection: Back to $76,300-$76,600. A daily close below $76,000 would end the bounce. A wick is not a breakout; the close is.

Discipline rule:

No setup = no trade. Sitting out is also a position.
Reduce size in chop — chop bleeds your account slowly, not in one crash.
Don't chase a green candle or panic-sell into a red one. Let price prove itself first.

The largest block of bids on the Binance spot book, flagged here last week, sat at $80K, just under the ETF line. The October 15 sweep traded through it and took out most of the block. The bids came back by October 20. They are smaller than at their peak, but buyers still want Bitcoin at that price.

Above price, the main block of asks sits between $86.5K and $87.5K, the first heavy resistance on the book.
