DON’T CHASE THE PRICE!!!
I always see it: the price drops a little and people say it’s going to fall... it rises a little and they say it’s going to rise. No, friends, that’s not how markets work... and that’s why you keep losing money. You have to read the market in exactly the opposite way... let me explain!
First, you have to do an analysis, and once you’ve done it... trust and respect that analysis no matter what the price does...
First, decide how much capital you’ll put into a position... divide it into several parts. Put 30 or 40% of that capital into a position, and keep the rest so that if the price moves against you, you can improve your entry price by making new entries at better prices in the same trade. You have to set a stop loss... if the price moves against you, you’ve already put your entire position in and your stop loss gets hit, it’s no big deal... do another analysis... but if you enter with your entire position, it’s very likely your stop loss will get hit... almost nobody enters a perfect trade... so you have to be open to the price moving... and I’ll say it again: if the price moves against you, it’s BETTER—you can get in at a discount. It’s like wanting to buy 10 units of a product to resell them at a higher price: buy 4, and if the price drops, buy 2 more... and if it drops further, buy another 2, and keep going until you’ve bought all 10... but if the price goes up after you’ve bought 4, don’t buy any more; sell those 4 at a higher price and, in the meantime, look for other bargains... you have to think of this like products you buy to resell at a higher price... if you don’t think about it that way, you’ll never make money, and this will become an obsession with the reward. Exactly like a casino... you lose 10, win 2, and celebrate... even though you’re still down 8... change the way you look at the market and you’ll start feeling calmer with every trade.
