My strategy for growing my Plaza followers 🫣

U.S. earnings season continues this week, with big names like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon reporting results.

There’s really just one key question: after pouring so much money into AI, are they actually making money from it?

After all, the market has matured, and the AI narrative isn’t as easy to sell as it used to be. No matter how big the story, it ultimately comes down to revenue, profits, and cash flow.

Binance Square has put together a dedicated earnings season hub, bringing previews, analysis, and market views all in one place. It’s pretty handy for those of us who follow both crypto and U.S. stocks—we don’t have to keep switching between apps. Binance has it all.

There’s also Binance’s earnings prediction feature. We’re already guessing earnings and looking for surprises versus expectations, so we might as well put our predictions down while we’re at it—and get rewarded if we’re right. #股票财报季

All signs point to Predict, the prediction market on BNB Chain, getting ready for its TGE. It was listed on Aster Pre and surged to a high of $5, before pulling back and trading between $1.50 and $2.

Prediction markets have lost a lot of their buzz since the World Cup, including Polymarket. Polymarket is focused on going public rather than holding a TGE, and even fired its CMO, who supported launching a token.

Also, pPOLY, previously issued by Paimon Finance, briefly fell below its issue price, with no sign of a rebound. The Pre-Access subscription price at the time was about $15.50.

A cold winter is coming for prediction markets. If Polymarket fails in its bid to go public, it will basically follow in OpenSea's footsteps. As for the TGEs of the remaining prediction-market projects, just short them at the listing highs—it's a surefire way to lose money.

Last year, I received the Plaza Top 100 Streamer Award. I remember there was a period when market volatility was pretty good. There weren’t as many people livestreaming on the Plaza as there are now, and things weren’t nearly as competitive. After finishing their streams at night, lots of streamers would come hang out in my room.

We’d often stay up past midnight, and then someone would suggest, “Let’s hang in there a little longer—the speech is at 2.” Once we’d made it to 2 and listened to the speech, we’d watch the market’s reaction and trade for a while. Then someone would suggest, “Let’s wait for the U.S. markets to close—it’s only a little over an hour away.” So we’d wait until 4, when the U.S. markets closed. After watching the market move for a while, the guys would suggest, “Let’s chat a little longer. It’ll be daylight soon—we can grab breakfast and then go to bed.” And that’s how I ended up livestreaming through the night for a whole week straight.

During the nomination period this year, I saw how passionately everyone was discussing it and realized I might not stand a chance. So I opened the nomination form several times, but in the end, never submitted it. Then the voting round came around, and my friends still nominated me in the Live Trading Expert category. What can I say? There’s a Chinese saying: “Since you’re here, make the best of it.” Now that things have come to this, even though my trading profits haven’t put me among the industry’s top performers, my gains and losses are all real. I pay over 100,000 RMB in trading fees every month. As for my livestreams, anyone who’s watched knows I don’t give specific entry points—just my own analysis and opinions for everyone’s reference, and constant reminders to use stop-losses and trade less frequently.

So, I think I’m at least a passing candidate in this category.
