Today I chatted with a wealthy friend about what “true luxury” really means.
I thought he would talk about private jets, yachts, or buying homes in several cities.
But he said what he wants is the exact opposite.
Living in London for three months, going to Dubai in winter, Italy in summer. If the weather gets worse, he leaves. If the policies become annoying, he leaves. If the tax environment turns unfriendly, he leaves too.
The best homes can be rented, the best cars can be rented, and most things don’t have to be owned permanently.
He only wants to keep a very small number of things that truly anchor his life; everything else stays fluid.
Later, he did the math.
A £5 million apartment in London might have stamp duty close to £1 million alone. Add service charges, maintenance, management, and any future new taxes, and the house isn’t just about the living experience anymore—it also becomes a long-term administrative burden.
With the same amount of money, he can move into better places for years while still keeping the right to leave at any time.
A quiet life and free movement don’t actually conflict.
You can read, take walks, watch old movies, work at your own pace; you can also switch cities—and switch weather and ways of living—whenever you want.
A truly elevated state is having enough choices and carrying enough little dependence.
You can access almost everything, yet be bound by very little.
That’s probably what wealth is ultimately supposed to bring:
A stunning World Cup performance won over Cape Verde’s national team goalkeeper Vozinea and sealed his new employer. Reports from multiple overseas media outlets indicate that on July 24, the leadership of Chilean powerhouse Colo-Colo confirmed externally that the club has reached a signing agreement in principle with this 40-year-old goalkeeper.
At this World Cup in North America (Canada/USA/Mexico), Vozinea became the tournament’s most talked-about dark-horse figure thanks to a series of seemingly nonstop extreme saves on his goal line. The surge in popularity is clearly reflected in online data: his followers on social media rose from 500,000 before the tournament to 29.52 million, and his transfer-market valuation also climbed from €50,000 to €500,000.
Club chairman Moza revealed externally that Vozinea is about to travel to Chile to complete his medical tests, before then making his official debut for the team. In his view, the competitive level the goalkeeper showcased on the World Cup stage is enough to match the signing, while the player’s extremely high fan appeal can also bring significant commercial value to the club.
Previously, Vozinea played in Portugal’s second division. As the core defensive line for Cape Verde in their first ever appearance at a World Cup, he shut out Spain—the team that went on to win the tournament—and helped the squad earn a draw. In the knockout stage, he also stubbornly held back the runner-up Argentina, forcing the opponent into a painful extra-time battle. After the tournament concluded, in the FIFA Best XI selected by fans, Vozinea was successfully named the tournament’s best goalkeeper.
My buddy—out on the outskirts of Shenzhen, he’s been guarding a villa for someone. The house is worth eighty million. The boss hasn’t come back in three years, and the people long ago moved on—settled in the U.S.
The other day we had dinner and chatted about it. All the friends around us went crazy. They said this job is basically a dream: food and lodging provided, no need to play mind games with anyone, and he gets a steady fifteen grand every month. For them, if they could just wait until the boss returns to the country to retire, it’d be enough.
But is this money really that easy to make? In his first half year, he didn’t even dare to turn off the living room lights when sleeping. The TV had to be on all night to provide some human noise. Even the local stray dog he raised to guard the place—after staying for half a year, it was still too lazy to make a sound. When he saw strangers, it would only wag its tail.
These three years, he’s managed to save over 400,000, but no skills have improved at all. Every day is just watering flowers, feeding fish, checking water and electricity—nothing else learned.
Now he lies awake worrying every day, afraid that one day he’ll suddenly get a call saying the boss wants to sell the property. At over forty years old by then, he won’t even know what he could possibly do for work. This kind of comfortable-looking soft trap—if it really lands on your head, would you dare to take it? #香港存储概念股走强 $NVDA.US
My friend’s daughter married a pilot. Ten years ago, it was quite a glamorous thing. The man earned a million a year and brought it home—without a second thought, she quit her job and focused on being a rich wife. She carried designer bags, shopped at imported supermarkets, and for her daughter’s international school, she didn’t even look at the tuition bills before paying them off. Then the winds changed. With the aviation industry struggling, routes were slashed drastically, and the duty roster kept getting emptier. The money the man brought home was visibly getting less. But what was strange was this: their life seemed to have been frozen in place. Not a single bit was affected—her closet still got updated with each new season, the steaks on the dinner table were still the same price, and the renewal notice for her daughter’s outrageously expensive school was paid promptly and decisively. Everyone around them found it miraculous—how did they manage to keep going? Until recently, when my friend was drinking, she finally let the truth slip. Both sets of parents—retirees with decent pensions—once they saw the young couple’s income was in trouble, they didn’t say a word and started quietly “sending blood.” On this side, it was the transfers from her own parents with reminder notifications. On that side, it was the bank cards handed over by the parents-in-law. Four elderly people—somehow they made sure that the “respectability” of a six-figure salary didn’t collapse on the young couple. So it turns out some people’s peaceful, quiet days are only possible because the previous generation bears the weight and moves forward for them. #亚洲股市因芯片股反弹上涨 $NVDAB $AAPL.US
A buddy of mine, 42 years old, an internet-industry mid-level employee whose position was optimized away.
He has a house with a remaining 600,000 RMB mortgage, a Camry he’s driven for 6 years, and 1.3 million RMB in cash.
His kid is in fifth grade, and his wife works at a hospital. Her income isn’t high, but it’s steady.
Now he’s a bit panicked. He often wakes up at 3 or 4 a.m., and all he can think about is, “What will we do in the future?” He’s laid out a few options and wants to hear what everyone thinks:
Option 1: Take 600,000 RMB to join a community snack shop chain, open it at the entrance of the residential area. He feels foot traffic will be stable, and kids and elderly people will also need to buy.
Option 2: Take 900,000 RMB to buy a storefront in his hometown county and rent it out for income. At least it feels tangible and visible.
Option 3: Spend 300,000 RMB to buy a new-energy vehicle. Drive for ride-hailing during the day, do night chauffeur work as a side job, and invest the remaining money into financial products.
Option 4: Invest in a friend’s pet store project—80% investment? Actually 800,000 RMB for a 30% stake. His friend says young people nowadays are willing to spend on pets.
Option 5: Don’t mess around first. Find a job paying 7,000 to 9,000 RMB, even if it’s not “respectable.” Just get the monthly cash flow going first.
Personally, I lean toward advising him to choose Option 5. What do you all think? #Meta拟向Anthropic出租算力最多100亿美元 $NVDAB $NVDA.US
Because the launchpad can't issue new coins, choosing to sell all of $CASHCAT lmao🤣
Only coins on the internal order book are strongly related to the launchpad. After the coin has been launched, the contract is already locked and cannot be tampered with—basically it has nothing to do with the launchpad anymore.
So the thing that can determine the upper limit of CASHCAT can never be the launchpad's background; it’s always Robinhood’s cultural foundation and community spirit 🐱 #cashcat $NVDAB $MSFTB $SPCXB
Next month, Bitcoin will most likely see a temporary split due to a rift between miners and nodes over consensus. During the heady days of the inscription era, a group of Bitcoin conservatives strongly opposed stuffing “junk information” into precious blocks, so they proposed BIP110—a temporary soft fork that restricts the size of Bitcoin data fields such as OP_RETURN and Taproot, thereby allowing only normal transfer transactions.
This protocol has two activation mechanisms: active activation and forced activation. Both require miners and nodes to participate in the voting.
At block height 9616328—roughly sometime in mid-October—if more than 55% of miners support it, then regardless of the node support rate, any non-supporting nodes will automatically follow the longest valid chain. Blocks mined by miners will be accepted by all nodes, and the network will smoothly transition to the new rules.
Currently, 14.53% of nodes support it and the support trend is still rising, while miner support is only 0.9%. Even though inscriptions have effectively died, miners once ate well off this sort of thing—maybe it could rise from the ashes again someday. So from an incentives perspective, miners have no motivation to support BIP110.
But for nodes, their job is only to verify and broadcast—they don’t participate in bookkeeping. So no matter how big the blocks are, there’s no incentive for nodes to support things like inscriptions.
Therefore, after mid-August, if the miner support rate still hasn’t reached 55%, BIP110 will enter forced activation. All nodes that support running BIP110 will immediately switch to the new rules and will refuse to validate and broadcast any blocks mined by miners that don’t comply with the rules.
Meanwhile, the main chain formed by miners and nodes that do not support BIP110 will continue running under the old rules, so Bitcoin’s overall long-term trajectory won’t be affected.
As a result, the network will briefly fork into two parallel chains, with supporters of the old and new rules each doing their own thing.

I met a fortune teller some time ago, and his readings are incredibly accurate.
He usually helps people with consultations in person, charging 2,000 yuan per reading, and there are plenty of people who come looking for him.
After we got to know each other well, a few days ago we went out for drinks together.
As the night went on and the drinks kept coming, the conversation finally opened up.
I took the chance, while the alcohol was still hitting, and asked him:
“Tell me the truth—are these fortune-telling things really accurate?”
After he heard me out, he laughed for a long time, then put his wine glass down on the table:
“Whether it’s accurate or not is one thing, but men are actually the easiest to read.”
“No need to look at someone’s birth chart, and you don’t even need their birth time. As long as he sits across from me, I’ll say four things first—nine out of ten people will feel that I’m especially accurate.”
First line:
“You’re not lacking women in your life.”
Second line:
“What you’re doing right now is, honestly, a bit of a waste of your talents.”
Third line:
“You don’t care too much about money—you’ve always been very generous with friends.”
Fourth line:
“The biggest shortcoming of yours is that you’re too emotionally invested.” $NVDAB $METAB $GOOGLB #摩根士丹利增持1000枚BTC
Damn it, brothers, listen to me tell you a real story…
Yesterday I came across a guy complaining: “Domestic bank deposit interest is so low it’s basically like free money—deposit 1 million for a year and you only get two or three thousand. I’m so pissed I want to curse!”
Then he suddenly had an idea and did something ruthless— He took out a low-interest loan for several years, with almost zero interest! Then he transferred the money overseas, deposited it in a high-interest bank, and invested in US stocks…
After a year, the spread + investment returns directly made him feel great! He said: Isn’t this just lying down and making money?
Domestic zero interest vs overseas high yield—borrow cheap money to make your money work, This is basically the strongest “pickpocket-free” move of 2026 for those who just close their eyes and go for it!
Brothers, did you feel tempted after hearing this? Has anyone already been doing this playbook? Comment below—don’t hide it! 🚀💰

A girl with an ordinary appearance Within one year after graduating from college, she must get married. The difficulty of this problem lies in this: No girl would admit that she looks ordinary. Who hasn’t been pursued by any guy before graduation is considered “ordinary.” Remember: within one year of graduation, you must get married, no matter what the other person’s circumstances are. The absolute top-tier state for contemporary young people—
It means using a lag-free iPhone, driving to the gym in the morning in a Tesla, and completing your training plan
Then going to Sam’s Club to buy some anti-inflammatory foods that are low in sugar and low in fat, and taking care of your body
In the afternoon, sitting in a café, soaking up the sun, reading a book, or studying stocks and futures
In the evening, staying at home alone—drinking Japanese craft beer, watching TV, playing games, scrolling on X—then getting a little tipsy and going to bed
End an ordinary, straightforward day
Besides the Tesla, there’s basically nothing else that isn’t in the script. #比特币7月上涨9.5%创四年最佳 $NVDAB $SPCXB $GOOGLB
Math is the only subject for poor kids to turn things around.
English is the subject where rich kids stay far ahead.
Math requires intelligence. If you don’t have the “hard” intelligence, then no matter what, you won’t score above 140 on the college entrance exam—period.
English requires resources. If you don’t have at least 10,000 words in your vocabulary, and you haven’t chatted with foreigners since childhood enough, then your IELTS will never reach 8.0, and your English speaking will never reach the level of a native speaker.
So, poor kids should study math to the point of desperation, and rich kids should study English to the point of desperation—100% right!!!!!!!! $NVDAB $SPCXB $MSFTB #比特币7月上涨9.5%创四年最佳
After extensive research, what kind of family is most likely to cultivate successful people? 1. Rural parents are honest and reserved, and even illiterate; in their eyes, children are always good. They don’t blame or demand much of the child, only doing their best to make sure the child can have delicious meals. 2. Parents love to play without restraint—such as being keen on mahjong or dancing. They may even not remember which grade the child is in, and the child often has to take care of themselves. 3. Parents are small-stall vendors; they leave early and return late every day. They often can’t be seen with the child, but whenever they do meet, they’re all smiles. 4. Scholar parents are deeply devoted to their own fields of expertise. They never over-manage their children; whatever the child wants to do is up to them. If a child shows strong interest in a particular area, the parents can provide professional resources. Families like these are likely to produce top-tier scientific research talent! #LAB三日跌94% $NVDAB $GOOGLB $SPCXB

A girl in the class is poor at home, but she’s beautiful—so a thug from the same school started pestering her. Later, during the harassment, the vice principal discovered it and scolded both of them. The girl is straightforward; she refused to admit fault even unto death. But the boy knew it was better to “go along with it” and ended up having the girl’s parents called in. When the girl’s father arrived, he was a simple, honest farmer. Anyone with eyes could tell the vice principal was picking on people. But what no one expected was that this uncle was just as stubborn and wouldn’t under any circumstances believe it was his daughter’s fault. So the vice principal said the one thing I’ve heard a thousand times: “It takes two—if it didn’t happen, why didn’t he go bother someone else?” The girl’s father wanted to refute it, but he was bad with words; he stammered and couldn’t get anything out. The vice principal showed a satisfied smile, but the girl’s father’s expression wavered, as if he had made a difficult decision. He then slapped that thug hard across the face and asked the vice principal: “Tell me—does it make a sound or not?” That boy froze on the spot; everyone else was stunned too. After that, no one dared to bully this girl anymore. $NVDAB $MSFTB $GOOGLB #美光拟投30亿美元强化芯片供应链 #韩国央行行长呼吁尽快建立韩元稳定币框架
When Bitcoin was at 120k, major institutions were openly making offers and scrambling to buy—MicroStrategy, BlackRock, Fidelity, MARA, etc.—trying to get you to jump on board. But the price no longer kept rising. This is the top. Now there are large outflows from ETFs, and MicroStrategy has started selling coins too, yet the coin price isn’t falling anymore—this is a phase bottom. According to history, a major bear market usually needs a “black swan” event; only after a complete liquidation that triggers panic can the bear market truly be finished. So this level is a very good place to start DCA, but it isn’t a spot to buy all at once. And don’t chase higher just because you see a rebound. For this rebound, first watch 66,000; after it bounces off, then we’ll see. #Swift推出区块链共享账本 $NVDAB $GOOGLB $SPCXB
