On 24 September 2026, it was reported that Bitget fell victim to a major security breach. According to reports, assets worth approximately $387M–$390M were stolen.
A large portion of the stolen funds was $XRP .
About 103M $XRP, which was worth an estimated $157M–$160M at the time, was transferred to five wallets under the attackers’ control.
By 26 September, about 54M XRP ($83M) had already been withdrawn from three of those five wallets.
Two wallets holding roughly 20M XRP each were almost completely emptied; in another wallet, it dropped to about 5.8M XRP.
As a result, about 49M XRP, worth approximately $75M at the time, remained in the original wallets.
The transfers accelerated overnight, with the funds being distributed into new wallets. Some reports say that later part of the XRP was moved toward Bitcoin via THORChain.
The funds are moving on.

$LYN After hitting a 2x candle, it quickly dropped back down to the 10M level. If you’re wondering whether it can hold these levels, I don’t think it’s any longer reasonable to assume so for long. The project is doing poorly; it should be below this.
$NIL This was one of last year’s big projects and is currently trading at the 50M level. These levels are low for the project, but they’re being held due to a continuous cycle of token unlocks. So the decline can continue.
$BULLA It was previously inflated purely for speculative purposes. As a memecoin, it has no community or development. While there may be occasional speculative moves, I believe overall it will keep going down.

🚨 CIRCLE and TETHER have frozen—Stablecoin linked to the Bitget hack
Circle and Tether have recently blacklisted a wallet associated with a Bitget security breach, resulting in the freezing of approximately $318,000 worth of USDC and USDT.
However, most of the stolen assets still remain out of the reach of stablecoin issuers.
📌 Key updates
• Circle has blacklisted a wallet identified on Etherscan as “Bitget Exploiter 8”.
• The wallet held an estimated 99,990 USDC and 218,023 USDT.
• Tether has since blacklisted the same address as well.
• The frozen stablecoins are valued at approximately $318,000.
• According to reports, other wallets linked to the exploiter still hold more than 63,000 ETH.
• Stablecoin issuers can freeze their own tokens, but cannot freeze native ETH held by the attacker.

According to reports, whale wallets have added more than 470M $XRP in just five days, and the chart is moving toward a golden-cross setup.
The key level I'm watching is $1.60.
A clean break above it and holding could bring $2 back into focus. But instead of chasing the move, I want confirmation.

Those who remember the Bybit hack know what happened a few days later. Even after this huge wave of buying, most altcoins crashed. And now, all altcoins are starting to rise again. My suspicion is that due to the Bitget hack, another altcoin crash could happen within the next few months. It will confirm what I said then: the platform’s supply has dropped by roughly 1.5 billion Ethereum. It’s for everyone in blockchain platforms to help with this problem—that’s it. The same thing is happening on the platform today, but unfortunately, those who will be harmed will be traders. Over the next few days, the situation will become clearer.

The consequences of the $387.5M breach are still unfolding
According to reports, the attacker moved around

about $83 million from three holding wallets from which it was stolen
to wallets where, according to XRP Ledger rules, they cannot be frozen—there are still about $75 million remaining in such wallets
Exchanges may blacklist accounts that received the stolen funds, but the attackers’ own wallets cannot be blocked meanwhile, Circle and Tether have frozen about $320,000 in related stablecoins
the exchange says its protection fund will fully compensate for the losses and the customer’s balances were not affected
By October 2, withdrawals are expected to restart in stages from September 28
Now attention shifts—not to the hack itself, but to how much of the stolen money can truly be tracked, frozen, or recovered

#Bitget Hacker used this address 0x48857fc6B57ac0c60360568279C8Ac90a5427c8E to withdraw another $1.23M from Binance.
The funds are still moving. About 16 hours ago, the wallet withdrew 257.6 ETH from Binance—worth an estimated $692K—along with 545K USDT.
Then, 545K USDT was swapped into another 200.2 $ETH, bringing the wallet’s total balance to 457.9 ETH, worth approximately $1.23M.
After that, about 6 hours ago, the entire 457.9 ETH was sent directly to the Bitget hacker’s wallet.
