The foundation behind Phantom Opera shared that it has established the Sonic Foundation and Sonic Labs, which will be the main bodies to support Sonic, a new layer-1 blockchain. 😲🚀

Sonic will be connected to the Ethereum ecosystem via a layer-2 bridge and will have the "ability to attract funds independently of Ethereum." It will be "vastly superior" in speed and security compared to the Phantom chain.🔗💪

The Sonic Foundation will be responsible for the management of the Sonic ecosystem and treasury operations. Sonic Labs will focus on decentralized applications and community for the Sonic network.👨‍💻🌐

The Fantom team shared that when the Sonic chain goes live, the network will have its own native token, $S. This token will be 1:1 compatible with Fantom's existing $FTM token.🪙💰
