Odaily Planet Daily News: Patrick McHenry, Chairman of the U.S. House Financial Services Committee, announced that Gary Gensler, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), will attend the House Digital Assets Subcommittee meeting on April 18. McHenry confirmed: "This will be our first oversight hearing of the SEC." The oversight hearing will seek to clarify Gensler's approach to rulemaking and regulation of digital assets. McHenry said: "In terms of policy, this will be a serious approach for us to shape the field of digital asset regulation." He hopes to carry out this work in the field of crypto regulation in the coming months. McHenry established the Digital Assets Subcommittee in January 2023 to help narrow the structural gaps in the House Financial Services Committee in addressing crypto issues.
