“Your bank on my side is under maintenance. Please wait a little longer.”

I heard this exact sentence just when I urgently needed money.

That day, I sold about 420 USDT. Once the order was created, the counterparty said they would transfer immediately. But nearly an hour later, the money still hadn’t arrived. When I asked, they replied very quickly: the banking system was under maintenance, so I needed to wait longer.

At that moment, I was also a bit anxious. But I still stuck to my principles:

Until the money is truly credited to the account, I won’t release.

I didn’t continue arguing in the chat. I also didn’t switch to Zalo or any other channel. I only sent one more message requesting confirmation, then opened an Appeal to ask Binance to help check.

After a while, the support team got involved and handled it according to the process. In the end, the order was resolved satisfactorily. I didn’t lose money, but I learned a few quite clear lessons:

- Vague explanations like “under maintenance,” “system is slow,” or “limit reached,” if they keep happening unusually, should be treated as a signal to pause.
- Don’t spend too much time going back and forth in discussions. The Appeal button exists precisely to handle situations like this.
- Before choosing a merchant, review the completion rate, average response time, and recent ratings—don’t just look at the name or price.
- Keep the full chat history and the Order ID right on the platform. This is the most important evidence when you need support.

Safe P2P trading isn’t because you never encounter abnormal situations, but because you know how to handle things correctly according to the proper process when they occur.
