Square Enix, a well-known Japanese video game developer with game IPs such as "Final Fantasy" and "Dragon Quest", today announced that it will launch the NFT-based game "Symbiogensis" on Polygon. Square Enix has so far demonstrated in-game NFT items, including dragon tarot cards and monster storybooks, but has not yet shared specific details about the costs or how NFT items will impact the gaming experience.

It is reported that information related to the Symbiogenesis project was first announced in November last year. At that time, Square Enix stated that it tentatively planned to launch on Ethereum. It has now been determined that it will switch to the Polygon network in pursuit of faster processing speeds and cheaper transaction fees.
