According to the Daily Planet, blockchain analysis company Chainalysis and the US anti-slavery organization International Justice Mission found that a company operating in Myanmar defrauded more than $100 million from victims in less than two years. Chainalysis said that according to its tracking of USDT, these assets were used to transfer funds from victims of the "pig killing plate". The analysis also stated that USDT was used to pay a company called KK Park in eastern Myanmar, and the families of trafficked workers were forced to pay ransom in exchange for the release of the victims.
