According to Foresight News, Nick, a former employee of Clockwork, a decentralized automation network in the Solana ecosystem, tweeted that the Clockwork development team and himself decided not to develop the protocol due to limited opportunity costs and business prospects. Developers can continue to use the software they have written, but the team will shut down nodes on Devnet and the mainnet on October 31. On-chain programs will be frozen, and the code will continue to be open source and freely available on GitHub. If the community is willing to improve the protocol, the team will fully support forks and releases. For users who currently rely on Clockwork, the team will do its best to ensure the continuity of the service. As previously reported, in August 2022, Clockwork completed a $4 million seed round of financing, led by Multicoin Capital and Asymmetric, with participation from Solana Ventures and El Cap Ventures.
