SMASH STARS:THUNDERDOME is the first NFT-based arcade game in the Smash Land world. Players can win the game by equipping better vehicles, weapons and action figures, and get tokens, NFTs and other rewards by climbing the Smash Stars leaderboard. Currently, the game can be played for free on PC, and there is also a chance to get free NFTs.
When you enter THUNDERDOME, you will first receive a free Rookie vehicle. All vehicles have their own categories, such as sports, practical, off-road, etc. Different types of vehicles have different advantages and disadvantages, and different levels of vehicles have different basic data (starting HP, physical damage, reward multiplier and experience multiplier values). Vehicles of the same level can be fused and upgraded.
Each vehicle in THUNDERDOME has up to three slots for equipping weapons and boosters to increase firepower and defense value. The number and type of slots are randomly generated. The slot type determines the type of items that can be equipped. Different vehicles have different total socket powers and cannot be upgraded. If it is a high-level vehicle, you can customize the skin and wheels.
As with the Rookie vehicle, players will be given a free BASIC Smash Stars action figure upon entering the THUNDERDOME. But the real secret of the game is to own the PREMIUM Smash Stars action figure, because BASIC items can be upgraded but cannot be fused, let alone bought or sold.
The PREMIUM action figure set is a bundle of NFTs that can contain up to 9 different parts, each of which is an independent NFT and can be traded separately. Players can use them directly without thinking, or mix and match to create their own unique action figures. Action figures also have different levels, and can be equipped with DEMONS (NFTs) to increase or decrease effects, and other effects.
In SMASH STARS, DEMONS can not only assist the action figures, but also participate in DEMONS challenges alone. Daily/weekly challenges will have corresponding HYPE token rewards, and also come with multipliers. In addition, there will be exclusive airdrops, community invitations, etc. Different types of DEMONs have different attributes and are randomly assigned. Currently, there are only three attributes: water, fire, and earth. There may be more types of attributes in the future.
The core of THUNDERDOME is to smash the action figures in the opponent's vehicle, but the health of the action figures is determined by the vehicle. The game is round-based, and the first person to win 3 rounds wins. If there is no winner within the specified time, the death mechanism of the game will be triggered to ensure that one person wins. The standard mode is 1v1, and 2v2, 4v4 and even 8v8 free-for-all modes may be added in other forms such as events and tournaments.
THUNDERDOME's game rewards are mainly upgrade currencies (gold and blueprints), progress currencies (XP, trophies, league points), and tokens HYPE and NFT. DEMONS can pledge to obtain tokens HYPE and PREMIUM NFT.
The vehicles and slot items in the game are not infinitely usable. Once expired, they cannot be used in the standard mode, but are not restricted in the wild game mode.
