EOS EVM Announcement
EOS EVM roadmap announced
The EOS EVM team shared their new roadmap earlier this month, revealing their efforts to innovate and understand builder needs.
This roadmap will ensure key features and fixes are in place to maintain EOS EVM’s leadership in the Web3 space.

EOS EVM code completion
Less than a week after the roadmap was released, the EOS Network Foundation (ENF) announced that EOS EVM v0.6.0 has been coded.
One of the new features is an enhanced trustless bridge that allows you to transfer USDT to the EOS EVM side and then back to the EOS Native side.
Open source code is available in the GitHub repository, which developers can use to deploy their own trustless bridges for EOS-based assets. EOS EVM v0.6.0 has been released on the Jungle testnet for developers to experiment with ahead of the October 16th launch!
PlayZap is now available on EOS EVM
This month, ENF also revealed exciting news for GameFi, with PlayZap Games set to launch on the EOS EVM to take advantage of its high performance and ultra-low transaction fees.
PlayZap targets casual gamers, making it easy for people to check out games without being put off by any blockchain-related hurdles.
With this collaboration, EOS EVM solidifies its position in the GameFi space, demonstrating its ability to handle high-volume and diverse network activity while ensuring smooth gaming and transparent financial transactions.

Trustless USDT bridging with EOS EVM v0.6.0
EOS EVM v0.6.0, released on October 16, will bring a new DeFi experience, powerful technical upgrades, and trustless USDT bridging.
Most notably, the Trustless Bridge frontend will introduce the ability to seamlessly transfer USDT (EOS) tokens between the EOS Native environment and the EOS EVM environment using a simple user interface. EOS EVM engineers expect that future upgrades will incorporate more EOS Native tokens.
As new features are put in place, we will see the arrival of so-called “cross-machine virtual communication.” The EOS EVM, the blockchain virtualization on EOS, is now ready to start using EOS Native multi-signature features, among others.

EOS's 1st anniversary of independence
September 21 marks the one-year anniversary of EOS Independence Day, when the network took control by moving to the community-run Antelope Leap codebase.
This move allows the EOS community to become independent from the old codebase, which had become problematic due to the negligence of the original maintainers. Join us in celebrating this milestone by participating in the EOS Independence Day giveaway!
Find out how to enter the competition (and how to win EOS prizes!) in the article.
Future interoperability vision for the EOS network
Several recent developments have brought us closer to an interoperable future where different blockchains will be able to interact seamlessly. Enabling an interconnected ecosystem will reduce inefficiencies and expand the utility of blockchain applications.
The future is a multi-chain era, and the EOS network must be committed to achieving interoperability. The Antelope IBC function, the development of the EOS EVM trustless bridge, and the integration of the Pyth Network will all play a key role.
Dive deeper into this topic and discover the transformative potential of an interoperable future.
Sustainable development: Beyond carbon neutrality, towards climate positivity
The EOS Network Foundation (ENF) and Upland, in partnership with Aerial, are creating a more sustainable future through an initiative that will move the EOS network from carbon neutral to climate positive.
Climate positive means that the network not only offsets its carbon emissions, but actively removes additional CO2 from the atmosphere.
Read the full article to learn how ENF calculated the network’s carbon footprint and how these three organizations can participate and promote green practices to inspire others to do the same.
Pomelo Season 7 is now underway
Pomelo Grants is an open-source crowdfunding platform for funding Web3 projects. Supporters donate small amounts to the projects they care about most, and then match larger donations from a pool of funds provided by matching partners. Pomelo uses a quadratic funding mechanism to determine each project's share of the matching pool.
The EOS Network Foundation has provided two matching pools for Season 7, one for EOS Native and one for EOS EVM, with $75,000 in each matching pool to be allocated to eligible projects.
Funds must be used to build public goods that benefit the EOS Native or EOS EVM ecosystem to be eligible. You can submit grant applications between September 20th and October 11th, and donate between September 27th and October 18th. Get involved!
September Project & Operation Health Report
Values like trust, transparency, and accountability are at the core of Web3. The EOS Network Foundation’s Project & Operational Health Report is one way we live out these values and inform the community of our progress.
Check out updates on automated replay testing, EOS website upgrades, P2P improvements, regression testing tools, and more.
Online activities
Get started with Wharf
September was another busy month for the EOS Network Foundation (ENF) in the X (formerly Twitter) space. If you missed the action, you can listen to the recordings below. First up, ENF Director of Developer Relations Nathan James hosted a Wharf Getting Started webinar presented by Aaron Cox of Greymass. The event focused on how to build web applications on Antelope using the Wharf Session Kit.
GameFi Discussion Forum
Next, ENF co-hosted the GameFi panel with guests from Upland, PlayZap, and the Blockchain Game Alliance, where the audience learned how to leverage accessible gaming environments to increase adoption of Web3 games.
EVMNS AMA
Additionally, to celebrate EVMNS enabling the EOS EVM, ENF hosted an AMA (Ask Me Anything) with Brandon Lovejoy and the EVMNS team. Listen to the discussion and learn all about this distributed, open, and scalable multi-chain DID naming system.
Yves in Asia
EOS Network Foundation CEO and founder Yves La Rose traveled to South Korea and Singapore in September to attend Korea Blockchain Week and Token 2049.
Korea Blockchain Week
As part of EOS’ participation in Korea Blockchain Week, Yves spoke at the Game Ascend 2023 panel discussion “Crypto Gaming: Gaming and Gambling”. The Game Ascend event focuses on the development and commercialization of Web3 games.
For more information on Korea Blockchain Week, check out Yves’ interview with Zach from Genzio.
Token 2049
Yves then traveled to Singapore to attend Token 2049, where he gave a keynote speech at the Web3 and Real World Assets side event, describing how Web3 projects are providing new frameworks for ownership and transactions. He was also a panelist at the roundtable discussion “Enabling Innovation” exploring the possibilities of Web3.

EOS Network
The EOS network is a model of the blockchain 3.0 era, powered by EOS VM. EOS VM is a low-latency, high-performance and scalable WebAssembly engine that enables near-invisible deterministic transaction execution. The EOS network is designed for Web3 and is committed to achieving the best Web3 user and developer experience. EOS is the flagship blockchain and financial center of the Antelope protocol, and through the EOS Network Foundation (ENF) as a tool for multi-chain collaboration and the development of public infrastructure products, it further improves the infrastructure and drives the rapid development of EOS.
EOS EVM
EOS EVM is a simulation of Ethereum EVM and resides in EOS smart contracts. EOS EVM will provide the same functionality as other EVMs in the field, but with unparalleled speed, performance, and compatibility advantages. EOS EVM connects the EOS ecosystem with the Ethereum ecosystem, allowing developers to deploy a large number of Solidity-based digital assets and innovative dApps on EOS. Developers can use EOS EVM to take advantage of Ethereum's battle-tested open source code, tools, libraries, and SDKs while taking advantage of EOS's superior performance.
EOS Network Foundation
The EOS Network Foundation (ENF) was created to create a prosperous, decentralized future for the EOS ecosystem. ENF is ushering in a new round of Web3 change by encouraging active participation from key stakeholders in the EOS ecosystem, supporting community projects, providing ecosystem funding, and supporting the construction of an open technology ecosystem. As the center of the EOS network and a leading open source platform, ENF was founded in 2021 and has a stable set of frameworks, tools, and blockchain deployment libraries. Together, we have achieved innovation in community building and are committed to creating a stronger future for all.
