Despite the progress that has been made in some jurisdictions, in Latin American countries the horizon for the regulation of bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies is still unclear.
These were part of the comments of Andrés Junge, Technology Director of Notabene; and Carlos Jaramillo, account executive for Latin America at Chainalysis. They participated in the panel on FATF, regulation and cryptocurrencies at the Blockchain Summit Latam 2023 event, where the president of the NGO Bitcoin Argentina, Ricardo Mihura, was also present; and Gabriel Campa, head of Tower Bank's crypto assets division.
