🇹🇷 Snapchat was warned by the UK's data control agency due to its new artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot called "My AI". UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), Snap Inc. and gave Snap Group advance notice for potentially “failing to properly evaluate” privacy risks related to its chatbot.
🔍 The ICO's interim review revealed that the risks to My AI users, including children aged 13-17, were not adequately identified. If a final enforcement notice is issued, Snap may be forced to stop processing data related to My AI.
🗨️ UK Information Commissioner John Edwards said: "We have stated that organizations need to consider the risks associated with AI together with its benefits. Today's pre-implementation notice shows that we will take action to protect the privacy rights of UK consumers."
🤖 My AI runs on OpenAI's GPT-4 technology and is considered the first to be integrated into a major messaging platform in the UK. Do you think AI chatbots are adequately evaluated for privacy risks? Share your comments!#AI#Snapchat #ICO
