South Korea's bankrupt income platform Haru Invest recently stated that it would return users' assets, but did not give a specific timetable. CEO Hugo Lee said the company plans to conduct "phased asset recovery and distribution" in several rounds through the disposal of recovered assets. However, as the legal proceedings are still ongoing, it is currently impossible to predict and inform the asset distribution schedule. In addition, Lee also assured that investors will get their money back through a fair distribution system, rather than prioritizing South Korea's creditors.

Notably, Haru Invest suspended all deposits and withdrawals in June this year after discovering suspected fraudulent activities at consignment operator B&S Holdings, and subsequently filed for bankruptcy. The company’s collapse also sparked contagion with crypto lender Delio, which at the time held $1 billion in Bitcoin (BTC) and $200 million in Ethereum (ETH), also suspending deposits and withdrawals in June.
