Primark revenue grows but LFL sales weaken ahead of ABF demerger
๐ Associated British Foods said Primarkโs Q4 like-for-like sales are expected to fall 3%, taking the full-year decline to 2.6%, while total revenue is still projected to rise about 2%, supported by new store openings and franchising.
๐ Continental Europe remains the main weakness, accounting for 47% of Primark sales, with Q4 LFL down 4.3% and full-year LFL down 4.7%. The UK remained relatively stable, while US revenue continued to grow at a double-digit pace.
๐๏ธ Primark is also preparing to launch home delivery in the UK, marking a notable expansion of its online strategy.
๐ ABF shares fell around 9โ11% on September 10, as investors focused on weaker organic growth ahead of the planned Primark separation from the Food business in December 2027.
