Preserve Self-Custody: Exempt transfers to personal crypto wallets. Protect Cross-Chain Bridges: Avoid taxing asset transfers between blockchains as ordinary taxable transactions. Remove Private-Key Recordkeeping: Eliminate impractical reporting requirements tied to cryptographic keys. 📊 What’s at Stake? Illinois’ law предусматри a 0.2% levy on the value of certain digital asset transactions—not just profits. Its implementation has reportedly been delayed until July 1, 2027, amid legal challenges. 🌐 Why It Matters The outcome could influence how regulators treat DeFi platforms, wallet transfers, cross-chain transactions, and crypto developers across the United States. 💬 Your View: Should crypto wallet transfers and DeFi transactions be exempt from transaction-based taxes? #CryptoNews #DeFi #Uniswap #a16z #Blockchain #CryptoRegulation #Bitcoin #BinanceSquare Disclaimer: For educational purposes only.
