STOCKS | Republican Lawmakers Seek to Block Russian Oil Purchases, Challenging Trump Diesel Deal
U.S. Republican Representative Brian Fitzpatrick said on October 10 that he will introduce a bill to ban purchases of Russian oil and plans to use a discharge petition to force a House vote. According to Sina Finance, Republican Representative Don Bacon has agreed to serve as an initial co-sponsor.
Fitzpatrick said the proposed measure would be named the Ronald Reagan Peace Through Strength Act and would aim to stop all purchases of Russian oil. He said he expects the bill to pass by a wide margin if it reaches the House floor.
The move comes after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a diesel supply arrangement with Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 9. Trump said Russia would immediately release 300,000 tons of diesel to the U.S. and global markets, followed by 500,000 tons in November and another 1 million tons later.
The U.S. Treasury also issued a temporary general license allowing the sale, delivery, and import of diesel from Russian sources, with authorization valid through April 7, 2027. Opponents of easing restrictions said the policy could provide Russia with energy revenue.
Fitzpatrick said the legislation is intended to challenge the administration's policy of loosening restrictions on Russian energy trade. Bacon said Congress must act, while Fitzpatrick said no Democratic co-sponsor had been identified at the time of the announcement.

WHY BINANCE INTELLIGENCE COULD MATTER FOR CRYPTO 🤖
In my opinion, Binance Intelligence could become much more than another AI chatbot.
What caught my attention is the practical side: helping users understand the market, find important information faster, research opportunities and test or implement strategies with less technical knowledge.
Crypto already moves 24/7, with endless news, price action, on-chain data, macro events and thousands of tokens. The problem is not finding information. The problem is knowing what actually matters.
This is where AI could be very useful. #binancelaunchesbinanceintelligence .
If Binance can connect AI with its trading infrastructure, users may be able to analyze markets faster and interact with digital assets in a much simpler way.
Of course, AI will not guarantee profits. Markets are uncertain, and every strategy can fail. But I believe AI + crypto could seriously change how people research and use digital assets.
