What’s great about this picture is that it doesn’t just ask “which coin hurts the most?”
it shows that 5 years in crypto is long enough to tell the difference between a narrative and the ability to survive across multiple cycles.
There were some names that were once highly sought after, but a few years later they failed to hold their position.
On the other hand, some quieter assets have turned out to be far more durable. The recent 5-year data also shows that the gap between large coins has changed dramatically.
My thesis: time doesn’t make every thesis more correct
it often reveals which thesis actually has staying power.
On July 13, if you’re extremely lucky and buy the exact 1$ $PONS right when the token just lists, when the market cap is only about 10K FDV, then after roughly 45 days, in theory, that money could turn into 42.000$.
10$ then it becomes 420.000$.
You only need to put in 10$ đ to “buy a lottery ticket”, the right token, the right timing, and hold it until the time… it sounds absolutely crazy, but that’s exactly how crypto is
$PONS just got listed on Hyperliquid and is currently becoming one of the standout names of the Robinhood wave. Now I finally understand why earlier there were people saying $PONS could compete with http:// Pump.fun—maybe they saw something early on.
Crypto is still this crazy.
There are still stories where a few dollars can turn into a huge asset within just a few weeks, so it’s not surprising that many young people in many countries still see this as an investment channel that can change lives.
But I also have to be honest: the losers in this game are always more than the winners.
Those who bought from 10K FDV and held until the hundreds of millions in market cap are extremely rare. Most of the time, when we see stories like “1$ turning into 42.000$” and start FOMO, we may already be the ones buying lottery tickets at the very last segment.
With the current price, in my opinion, the risk is way bigger now.
I won’t buy at price levels like this, and this post isn’t telling anyone to buy or sell $PONS.
Just sharing simply to show one thing:
Crypto can turn 1$ into 42.000$, but it can also turn 42.000$ into 1$ just as fast.

UPDATE: A federal court called Kalshi's contracts "sports bets" on Friday, and by Sunday Kalshi became the EXCLUSIVE prediction market partner of the US Open tennis tournament.
Rival platforms are now banned from advertising at the tournament and across ESPN's broadcasts, per…
Gm, Nay 1/9 rồi, According to the mainstream press recently there have also been quite a lot of articles reminding people about the laws and taxes related to crypto assets. The most recent updates are roughly as follows (I only look at it from a personal perspective): 1/ Tax is still 0.1% each time upon transfer (meaning: one trade order counts as one transfer) 2/ There is now a separate legal framework specifically for the field of crypto assets (issued just a few days ago). That legal framework is also basically similar to the combined decrees/resolutions. 3/ Tax on personal profits, businesses, and business households is still 7–35%, depending on the angle. For example, individuals doing an airdrop, running affiliate marketing, or businesses doing products,... but traders are just 0.1%. 4/ Since there is separate legal coverage, the related penalties are clearer: advertising a project or an unlicensed overseas exchange is a violation and will be fined 90–200 million VND. 5/ Since domestic exchanges are not yet licensed, our buddies can still trade on overseas exchanges normally. 6/ When domestic exchanges officially launch, there is still a 6-month period. That means at that time you can move funds to a domestic exchange or trade and keep assets on overseas exchanges as usual, but you must move back to the domestic exchange before the 6-month deadline! 7/ If the domestic exchange doesn’t support the coin you hold, you can still keep it in common wallet types (this is just my guess—also, otherwise what would you do if the exchange doesn’t support the coin you’re holding?) 8/... 9/...
My BTA has already gone ahead and switched all ref links to disclaimers because the link refs we used are in the form of internal BTA links, so all we needed to do was redirect the ref links. In addition, all investment guide articles and exchange-related posts from our side have been deleted; due to the huge volume of content from 2017 until now, sometimes we may not be able to process everything.
I just hope the government will be more open and provide more support for investors. While deleting posts, I still saw many posts from other people that were just ordinary investors sharing on social platforms and groups,... If penalties were applied for advertising under the law, it would be extremely unfair because sometimes they don’t even remember what they did or where they posted over those 9 years from 2017–2026.
If BTA still has any advertising posts that you think might affect you, please message the team or me so that I and the team can delete them.
